RTM Ways and Means Committee Minutes
The RTM Ways and Means Committee met on Monday, May 5, 2008, at 7:00 PM at Canoe Brook Senior Center, 11 Cherry Hill Road, Branford, CT, The meeting was recessed and continued to May 6 at 7:00 PM. Committee members present were Rep. Avitable (Tuesday only), Rep. Keefe, Rep. Nardella (Monday only), Rep. Prete, Rep. Thayer. The following items were heard:
1. To approve a request from the Finance Director to increase the General Fund Budget by $1,267,275, and to approve the related transfer:
From: 0000-302.05-03 Miscellaneous State Grants $(1,267,275)
To: 4701-471.90-21 2002 Clean Water Fund $ 1,267,275
The measure was approved 4-0.
2. To hear a request from the Recreation Department for the following transfer (FY 2007-08):
From: 101-4501-451.40-01 Buildings R&M $( 3,000)
101-4501-451.42-10 Utilities $( 10,000)
101-4501-451.70-30 Power Equipment $( 3,000)
TOTAL $( 16,000)
To: 101-4501-451.40-03 Grounds R&M $ 10,000
101-4501-451.41-01 Utilities $ 3,000
101-4501-451.41-03 Equipment R&M $ 3,000
TOTAL $ 16,000
The measure was approved 4-0.
3. To consider and if appropriate, approve the FY 2007-2008 proposed budgets for:

GGB – Approved 4-0, as amended to except Fire Station #5 AC Unit - $9,000.
Board of Education – Approved 3-1 (Rep. Keefe), as amended to reduce the System Wide Technology Budget by $20,000 and the WIS Field Irrigation Project by 30,000.
