The meeting was called to order by the Moderator Rep. Reiners at 8:03p.m. The Moderator led the Body in the Pledge of Allegiance.

1. Approval of the minutes of the previous meeting.; The minutes were approved without exception.
2. Reception of communications, reports of committees and citizens’ petitions.
· Moderator congratulated Rep. Reed on her win as State Rep. for Branford.
· The Moderator read a letter from Rep. Fowler thanking our Veterans for there service and to recognize RTM Veterans’. (see attachment)
· The Moderator read a letter for Wayne Cooke, regarding Exit 56 no action to be taken (see attachment)
· The Moderator read the Resolution regarding Fight the Hike; discussion followed from some concerned citizens; this was sent to the Administrative Service Committee. (see
attachment)
· Rep. Reed spoke about Holiday Light Festival being held in Stony Creek.
· The Moderator read a letter from Rep. Nardella regarding the poor condition of the Branford High School turf field; this was sent to the Education Committee.
· The following items were sent to committees by the Moderator:
o To consider and approve an agreement between the Town of Branford and the United Public Services Employees Union Local #010 Park and Recreation and Custodians. This was
sent to the Ways & Means Committee. (see attachment)
o To Consider and approve an agreement between the Town of Branford and the United Public Service Employees Union Local # 007 (Public Works) This was sent to the Public
Service Committee. (see attachment) Rep. Hanlon wished Rep. Baker speedy recovery.
3. To consider and, if appropriate, approve a request from the Public Works Director for the following transfer (FY2007-2008):

5. To consider, and if appropriate, approve a request from the Stony Creek Quarry Workers Celebration, Inc to lease a portion of the Stony Creek Community Center located at 84 Thimble Islands Road. Motion by Rep. Chapman to rerefer this item; Motion passed.
7. To approve an ordinance establishing a Community Forest Commission. Motion by Rep. Sullivan to rerefer this item; Motion passed
8. To consider and, if appropriate, approve changes to the Purchasing Ordinance Chapter 75 of the Code of the Town of Branford. Motion by Rep. Sullivan to rerefer this item; Motion passed.
9. To consider and if appropriate, approve a request from the Registrars of Voters for certain voting district and polling place changes. Motion by Rep. Sullivan to rerefer this item; Motion passed.
10. Any other business to come before the RTM.
· Registrar of Voters Dan Hally gave a report on the election process; he indicated there were some problems in the 4th district early in the morning but after that things leveled out.
· Rep. Brooks asked to have discussion on the Fight the Hike Resolution; because this was sent to Committee no discussion followed, Rep. Black asked to have the public speak to
this; issued 5 minutes was allowed.
· Rep. Black also asked to have Wayne Cooke speak to his letter on Exit 56; 3 minutes were allowed.
· Rep. Torelli spoke on pitching in at the Community Dinning Room
Motion by Rep. Avitable to adjourn 2nd by Rep. Giardiello, Motion passed. The meeting was adjourned at 9:19p.m.
