There was a special meeting of the RTM Ways and Means Committee on Thursday, September 25, 2008, at 7:30 PM at Canoe Brook Senior Center, 11 Cherry Hill Road, Branford, CT. Present were Rep. Avitable, Rep. Nardella, and Rep. Thayer. Rep. Keefe and Rep. Prete were absent.
Note - This item was heard jointly with the Public Services Committee.

Chief Ahern presented. The additional expenses are largely due to personnel costs associated with absences and retirements, and educational costs required for the employees hired to fill those vacancies. The committees voted jointly 7-1 to approve the transfer.
