BRANFORD RTM SPECIAL ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES - UNAPPROVED
Tuesday, November 14, 2006
In attendance: Lisa Avitable, Janet Doyle, Dorothy Maynard, Michael Nardella, Kurt Schwanfelder, Gail Chapman Carbone
Absent: Bob Cromer
Meeting began at 7:40pm and adjourned at 8:55pm
1. We continued to review issues with respect to the Stony Creek Quarry Lease/Addendum in preparation for a presentation to the RTM.
Many residents of Stony Creek informed the Committee that on Friday and Saturday, November 10th and 11th, they felt the truck traffic going from the Quarry and back was excessive, approximately five trucks making40 trips each way (equaling 80 trucks round trip). Extensive discussion followed concerning the truck traffic, material being removed, noise, jake brakes, the safety of Stony Creek residents, visitors, and the need to clarify and make changes in the Quarry Lease/Addendum. Doug Anderson advised that he had a special job to do and was clearing out the Quarry. This was more of an exception due to weather conditions and potential rain storms being forecasted.
Discussion of Article 9, Third Addendum – Sub-lessees followed.
Respectfully submitted,
Gail Chapman Carbone
Chair – Administrative Services
