Call to order
Chairman, Nick Lavorato called to order the regular meeting of the Rules & Ordinance Committee at 7:06 pm on November 21, 2006 in Canoe Brook Senior Center, 11 Cherry Hill Rd.
Roll call
Present: Nick Lavorato (Chair), Anthony Giardiello, Dorothy Docknevich, Peter Black, James Walker, and Ron DeFord.
Absent: Hilary Kiskaddon
Open issues
1. To consider and, if appropriate, approve a new ordinance for: “Constructing or Maintaining Rainwater, Ground Water, or Surface Water Discharge upon any public way.”
Janice Plaziak reported that the storm water committee would like to withdraw the current draft ordinance based on information received at a CCM conference. Motion to re-refer made by Anthony Giardiello. Second by Peter Black. Motion passed 6-0.
2. To consider and, if appropriate, approve an amendment to Section 209-40 of the Code of the Town of Branford to permit the WPCA to issue citations and assess fines for violations of their regulations. Motion to approve made by Dorothy Docknevich. Second by Peter Black. Motion passed 6-0.
3. To consider and, if appropriate, approve a resolution concerning the Charter Revision Commission appointed August 2005. Motion to approve by Ron DeFord. Second by James Walker. Motion passed 5-1.
