BUDGET HEARING MINUTES
MONDAY, MARCH 16, 2009

Chairman Joseph Mooney called the budget hearing to order at 7:05 p.m.  Other members present were Lorraine Young, Charles Shelton, Jr., Victor Casella, Jeffrey Vailette and Kenneth Kaminsky.

Also in attendance were First Selectman Unk DaRos, Selectman Fran Walsh, Human Resources Director, Joyce Forte, Finance Director James Finch, Assistant Finance Director Kathryn LaBanca, Marianne Kelly, Town Clerk.

Chairman Mooney gave an overview of the budget process.

*Probate requested to present their budget later in the hearings due to a scheduling conflict.  Their budget was heard after the Board of Assessment Appeals.
*Town Clerk Kelly requested that the 3% salary increase for the Board Clerk position be reduced to 0%.  Town Clerk Kelly is also the Clerk for the Board of Finance
