The meeting was called to order by Chairman Joseph Mooney at 7:32 p.m. Present were Board of Finance members Charles Shelton, Jr., Jeffrey Vailette and Kenneth Kaminsky; First Selectman Anthony ‘Unk’ DaRos, Selectmen Francis Walsh and John Opie.
Also present were Town Attorney William H. Clendenen, Jr., RTM Majority Leader Anthony Giardiello, RTM Minority Leader Frank Twohill, James Finch, Finance Director and Marianne Kelly, Town Clerk.
Mr. Vailette made the motion, seconded by Mr. Shelton, to approve the amended minutes of the June 30, 2008. The vote was unanimous.
A motion was made at 7:37 p.m. by Chairman Mooney to enter into executive session to discuss pending litigation and legal fees with the Town Attorney, and seconded by Mr. Vailette. The vote was unanimous.
Mr. Kaminsky made the motion, seconded by Mr. Vailette to invite Attorney Clendenen, Majority Leader Giardiello and Minority Leader Twohill into the executive session. The vote was unanimous.
Present in executive session were Joseph Mooney, Jeffrey Vailette, Charles Shelton, Jr., Kenneth Kaminsky, Anthony ‘Unk’ DaRos, Francis Walsh, John Opie, William H. Clendenen, Jr., Anthony Giardiello, Frank Twohill, James Finch and Marianne Kelly.
Returned to regular session at 9:36 p.m. No votes were taken while in executive session.
A motion made by Mr. Vailette to adjourn the meeting was seconded by Mr. Shelton. The vote was unanimous. The meeting adjourned at 9:37 p.m.
