BOARD OF FINANCE
Special Meeting
 
Approved Minutes
 
August 10, 2006
 
 
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Joseph Mooney at 7:30 p.m.  Also present were Jeffrey Vailette, Charles Shelton and Kenneth Kaminsky.  Lorraine Young and Victor Cassella were absent.

 

Also present were Selectman Morris, Sullivan and Opie, Finance Director James Finch and Town Clerk Marianne Kelly.

 

Chairman Mooney opened the meeting by explaining that this was a presentation only and no action would be taken from this meeting

 

First Selectwoman Cheryl Morris introduced Dr. Leslie DeNardis and explained that of the study regarding the reorganization of the town hall was commissioned with the goal of achieving greater efficiency, effectiveness and accountability to Branford citizens in the delivery of services.

 

The Board heard a presentation from Dr. Leslie DeNardis on the Reorganization of Municipal Departments and Administrative Procedures draft report.

 

Discussion followed. 

 

Chairman Mooney requested that the Board members submit comments and recommendations to him to share at the next meeting.

 

Mr. Kaminsky made the motion, seconded by Mr. Vailette to adjourn the meeting at 9:10 p.m.
