The elementary schools (Mary R. Tisko, John B. Sliney, and Mary T. Murphy Schools) presented their School Improvement Plans to the Board.
SUPERINTENDENT’S REPORT
Dr. Halligan gave her Superintendent’s Report. She discussed the H1N1 letter distributed to parents/guardians and information available on our website. A few isolated cases of H1N1 reported. Continuing to monitor flu-like symptoms. East Shore Health’s survey showed 60% interest in receiving the H1N1 vaccine. Should receive vaccine mid- to late-November and have clinic after school hours at Branford High School. Cathy McGuirk inducted into the Field Hockey Hall of Fame.
2009/2010 Branford Public Schools’ Calendar received honorable mention in the CABE Award of Excellence for Educational Communications contest.
