Marissa Irwin and Cole Freeman, BHS seniors, were recognized by the Board for their leadership ability and presented with the CABE Student Leadership Award.
PUBLIC PARTICIPATION
Cafeteria Workers’ Union Representative discussed upgrading cafeteria system.

Dr. Halligan gave her Superintendent’s Report.
STUDENT REPRESENTATIVES’ REPORT
Jenna Grande and Taryn Mockus reported on student activities:
Pops Concerts this evening. National Honor Society inducted 80 members.
Prom Friday and speaker came in. SAT scores come in tomorrow. Marching band on Thursday. AP exams were held. Salapalooza Picnic Day on June 12.
Yearbooks are in all color this year. May 18 was Youth-in-Governent Day and students shadowed government leaders. Mr. Panagoulias and Mr. Henrichs discussed their China trip. Oronoque Div. Girls’ track team won.

09 Dr. Halligan presented the 2009-2010 education budget, from the proposed budget to the Board (2.9%) and reductions made as it was cut by the Board of Finance (2.35%) and the RTM (2%). An explanation of the various cuts was discussed.

ADDED SPECIAL MEETINGS ON BUDGET
There will be two Special Meetings on the 2009-2010 Education Budget on TUESDAY, MAY 26, 6:30 P.M., and WEDNESDAY, MAY 27, 6:30 P.M., at the Branford High School Library.
