01 Meeting was called to order at 6:30 P.M. by Catherine Jackson
PRESENTATION
02 Tri-Generation Project Power Point presentation by Mark Deming,
Director of Facilities. Mr. Mark Deming, Director of Facilities gave a
Power Point presentation of the Tri Generation Project. He distributed
a booklet explaining the whole project, costs savings, conservation etc
03 Legislative Update: Senator Ed Meyer, Representatives Pat Wildlitz, and
Peter Panaroni will try to go to State and see if any funds are available.
The amount needed is the annual lease and annual maintenance cost
in the amount of $166,000. There is a short period of time before the
budget is set. Representative Panaroni commended us on the project.
The Education Committee proposed their own budget which is less than
Governor’s, but no numbers are firm yet.
Mr. Panaroni is still seeking funds $60,000 - $70,000 for BHS Bleachers.
04 Budget Review: Dr. Halligan discussed the status of the 2006/07
education budget.
05 2006/07 Monthly % Expenditure
Dr. Hallighan discussed the monthly expenditure update for 2006/07
66.5 percent of budget spent as of the end of February.
06 Special Education Tuition & Transportation Update
The BOE is continuing our practice of tracking special education costs
from the beginning of the year. Mr. Cavallaro gave an update as of
April 1, 2007 and felt we should end the year with a surplus.
07 Personnel Report
Mr. Daniels, Director of Human Resources, gave a personnel report.
Mrs. Susan Rowan is retiring after 40 years. She is a second grade
Teacher at Murphy School. There are now 7 teachers and 2
administrators retiring.
08 Policy Review
Deletion:

#3432/3433 Budget and Expense Report/Annual Financial Statement
Hotz/Lombard moved and seconded to recommend deletion of above
Policies to the full board.
Add Legal Reference:
#3541 Transportation
Melcher/Hotz moved and seconded to add legal references;
recommended for 1st reading to the full Board.
New Policy:
#3442.34 Nutrition Program
After discussion, Hotz/Lombard moved and seconded to recommend to
Full board for 1st Reading
