01 Meeting was called to order at 7:35 p.m. by Chairman Carrano.
02 DISCUSSION/ACTION AGENDA
A. Out-of-State Field Trips
A request was made to approve 5 freshman/senior students to Brandeis University
for a Student Peace Alliance National Conference on October 10-20 by Sharon Shirley
and a trip to Elms College, Chicopee, MA. for a Peace Jam Northeast Youth Conference
for twenty students on April 4-5 2007.
Jackson/Prins motion to approve both field trips. Passed Unanimously
B. School Improvement Plans
Robin Goeler presented the Walsh Intermediate School Improvement Plan.
Sandy Baldwin is the Math Department Leader and Randi Sawyer is the Language
Arts Department Leader. He explained how the goals and objectives were being
addressed.
The BHS School Improvement Plan was presented by Dr. Higgins, Ann Puglia and
Lee Panagoulias.
Lee discussed the Honors Option Program. 139 freshman and 234 Sophomores have signed up to take the course.
C. Superintendent’s Contract
Hotz/Jackson motion to extend Dr. Kathleen Halligan’s contract for one year until June 30, 2010 at a salary of $145,000.00 a year.
Motion Passed.
