SPECIAL MEETING AGENDA

1. To approve the minutes of December 5, 2007, December 19th meeting canceled.
2. To approve the following resolutions:
RESOLVED; The Town of Branford declares its commitment to continue participation in the regional household hazardous waste collection center for a minimum three-year (3 year) period, July 1, 2008 through June 30, 2011, and confirms its intent to contribute financially for the operation, processing, transportation and disposal of household hazardous waste.
To Authorize Anthony J. DaRos, First Selectman of the Town of Branford, State of Connecticut, to certify that pursuant to Section 8 of Public Act 07-239 (An Act Concerning Responsible Growth) that there are no legal obstacles to the provision of service in the manner specified in the attached proposal submitted in response to the Regional Performance Incentive Program.
3. Appointments
CONSERVATION AND ENVIRONMENTAL COMMISSION – To consider, and if appropriate, approve the request from Bob Ferretti of 321 Thimble Islands Road to be appointed to the commission to replace William Horne (D) whose term expired July 2007. Ferretti’s new term to expire July 2011.

BRANFORD MUNICIPAL AGENT FOR THE ELDERLY- To consider, if appropriate, the recommendation from the Branford Republican Town Committee to appoint Rose Rabovsky (R ), a member of the Commission on Elderly Services, as MUNICIPAL AGENT FOR THE ELDERLY for the Town of Branford term to expire 12-31-10.
4. Reappointments
HUMAN SERVICES BOARD - To consider, and if appropriate, approve the recommendation of the RTC to reappoint Sharon Drakos for a new term to expire 12-31-2010.
PARKER MEMORIAL PARK COMMISSION - To consider, and if appropriate, approve the recommendation of the RTC to reappoint Matthew Drakos for a new term to expire 12-31-2010.
5. Correspondence
Request from Jeff Clark, Chairman of the Ethics Board, dated November 26, 2007 requesting Attorney Kevin Shea, Clendenen & Shea, LLC, continue consulting with the Ethics Board.
Letter of November 28, 2007 from James J. Perito resigning from the Branford Land Trust seat on the Branford Select Committee on Open Space Acquisition due to numerous nightly commitments.
